The HCP showing is underlain Devonian to Middle Triassic meta-sedimentary rock of the Boundary Ranges Metamorphic Suite.
The showing is defined by sample 07HCP110 which assayed 5.35 grams per tonne gold and 0.9 gram per tonne silver (Assessment Report 30762). The sample was associated with a silicified and pyrite bearing muscovite meta quartzite gneiss in a recently exposed cirque. The sample area is described as a rusty outcrop in the vicinity of aphanitic mafic dike with finely disseminated pyrite along fractures and within rock.
The showing was discovered by Apex Geoscience, on behalf of Micrex Development Corp, during their 2007 exploration project on their Bighorn property (Assessment Report 30762).
